MP5

The MP5, or Maschinenpistole 5, is a submachine gun developed by German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch (H&K). It gained recognition for its compact design, reliability, and versatility after its introduction in the 1960s. The MP5 is a scaled-down version of the earlier MP4 submachine gun, originating from the successful roller-delayed blowback mechanism pioneered by H&K in the 1950s. The MP5 was originally designed for use by military and law enforcement units in confined spaces and urban environments, where maneuverability and close-range firepower were crucial.
